Apollo 10 Mission Clears Final Preparations for Moon Orbit
Cape Kennedy Fla AP The Apollo 10 mission director gave the launch crew the go ahead to begin final preparations for Sunday’s liftoff carrying three astronauts toward a moon orbit after a 22 hour briefing. George Hage reported all aspects of the mission were ready including spaceship flight operations recovery forces and weather. The astronauts hoped to demonstrate their skills in the Saturn 5 rocket.

Canyon ISD annexes Umbarger district in special session
Canyon Independent School District annexed Umbarger Common School District at its request in a joint session with Randall County boards.
