Four Die in Head-On Crash Near Tulsa
A head-on wreck on Highway 87 eight miles south of Tulsa at 3 am Sunday killed Amarillo residents Leon Rusk and Lloyd Garrett and Matador resident Wynona Louise Parker and Julia Couch. Four others were injured, none in critical condition.

Two Killed In Head-On Crash Near Littlefield
On a level highway one and a half miles north of Littlefield two cars collided head on killing Floyd E. Chaney 49 of Plainview and Mrs Beulah Faye Jenkins 43 of Brownfield. Mrs Jenkins husband Emmett Roy 47 was critically injured and hospitalized. The crash occurred about 7 20 PM.

Victim in Grover Area Auto Crash Dies

Explosion at Texhoma auto building injures worker and damages shop
Four men escaped serious harm when a massive explosion tore through the Panhandle Chevrolet Company building in Texhoma just before 7 PM. Marvin Smith, buried in rubble, was rescued and treated for shock and burns. Bud Omohundro and two farmers were nearby. Fire destroyed most of the structure. the blast prompted frantic rescue efforts.
