Air mail service a three year milestone reported

The Post Office says the air mail system, three years old tomorrow, covered 1,313,379 miles and carried 1,015,053 pounds of mail at a cost of 1,343,382 dollars for April. The average cost per mile was 1.02 dollars with 19 fatalities in the year. Routes include New York to San Francisco via midwest cities, Chicago to Minneapolis, Chicago to St. Louis, and Washington to New York.

Head of Sheep Burned in Fire Near Stamford

Stamford Texas May 14 Six hundred head sheep were burned to death when fire of undetermined origin destroyed a large barn on Baldwin ranch twelve miles west of here today Six thousand pounds of wool ninety sets of harness and other contents valued at about 25000 dollars were lost.

Condemned Orphan Boy Granted New Trial
