Five Indicted for Kidnapping Banker’s Son in Corsicana
In Corsicana on May 13 five men Jim mie Nash Doyle Negsh Charles Hassell Currie Caldwell and an unnamed man were indicted for kidnapping and conspiracy in the case of Robert Cerf 28 son of a banker. Littlefield Girl Dies After Poisoning Over Failing Grade
Pauline Neyland, 13, of Littlefield died after swallowing more than a half pint of disinfectant at her home. She was found unconscious in the bathroom Monday and received first aid in Littlefield before being rushed to Lubbock, with despondency over a failing grade blamed for the tragedy.

Santa Rosa Bank Robbers Vanish After Heist
A bandit trio robbed the First National Bank of Santa Rosa New Mexico on Tuesday, taking 8000 in cash and 40000 in securities. Police reported no sightings by Wednesday as the car headed toward Amarillo. Early tips placed them near Hereford and Apache Canyon in Grady County. They scattered nails to puncture pursuers' tires, last heard near Grady NM north of Clovis mid Tuesday afternoon.

Putman Sentenced for Burglary Theft and Car Theft
Putnam was convicted yesterday by a Potter County jury on three indictments for burglary theft of cigarets and theft of an automobile. Judge Henry Bishop sentenced him to five years in the penitentiary for the car theft and two years each for burglary and cigarets with concurrent terms. Bond of 2500 was forfeited after he failed to appear. Authorities say he was arrested in Gainesville on a Buick theft charge and a grand jury indicted him for taking an automobile from the M and L Transfer Company.
