Hundred Miles Per Hour Tragedy Ends Metro Race
At Sheepshead Bay a fatal crash on the Metropolitan trophy race claimed Carl Limberg and R. Pallotti when their car wrecked through the guard rail and burst into flames during the fiftieth lap. Limberg died en route to hospital. Pallotti also perished. Eddie Rickenbacher won in 1 hour 33 minutes 31 seconds with Jules Devigs second and Tra Vaul third.
