Action Planned on Amarillo E-Way Route

Dewitt C. Greer state highway engineer will urge the State Highway Commission at the May 24 meeting to approve full plans for the Amarillo section of the expressway. If approved, layout of the exact route and all interchanges will follow, a process expected to take six to eight months with city officials.

Randall County Judge Roy Stevens said a simple majority approving 750000 in bonds does not end the effort to fund the right of way.
