Prison Boss Threatens Newsman At Angola Penitentiary

D D Bazer allegedly threatened his life and drew a pistol while ordering him off the ground during interviews with hunger strike convicts. Four Seriously Hurt in Wreck Near Canyon

Four Amarillo residents were injured in a late Sunday collision five miles north of Canyon. Three victims were listed in serious condition. Among the injured are Pete Ernest Fischbacker of Route 4 and Andrew Jack Meadows, 54, a janitor with Amarillo public schools, and his wife Martine Meadows, 36, employed elsewhere.

SALT LAKE CITY May 11 Bill McDougall former United Press foreign correspondent was ordained a Catholic priest at Cathedral of the Madeleine. He said a private miracle followed his 1942 Poelau Bras sinking when he refused evacuation, swam ashore and survived after a life boat rescued him. He completed a final payment on a long standing debt to God.

Whale meat gains taste as budget option in Washington
