Crew of river packet arrested in oil theft case
Four crew members of the river packet Speed were jailed and four other figures including the owner and captain are sought by federal agents over the theft of 4000 barrels of crude oil from the United States Shipping Board tanker Sah Pasquat near the Algiers side of the Mississippi. The arrested men are Joseph O’Neill T A Goodiad Homer Russell and Seth Rosenbaum, all of Port Arthur Texas. Investigators say oil was pumped from the Sah Pasquat to a barge and later moved ashore.
