Big Spring Man Dies in Wreck Near Canyon

Roy L. Allen of Big Spring was killed and Clarence M. Hawkins injured when Hawkins’s southbound car hit the rear of a parked southbound cable truck three miles south of Canyon at 8:20 AM. Hawkins, with a broken arm and jaw, was treated at St. Anthony's Hospital.

Dalhart Mother Claudia Cage Found Dead on Sideroad

Claudia Cage a 24 year old mother of three was found dead early this morning on a sideroad in East Dalhart. State Patrolman R C Johnson said Carrol Kirkpatrick and Dwight Hester found her while returning from a dance. An autopsy showed multiple internal injuries with no external wounds. Her estranged husband survives. Investigators pursued leads but no arrests were made by last night.

Allied air raid blasts Palermo amid large war strike
