Amarillo City Commission Defers Dismissal of Four Police Officials

Indicted Officers Head Departments in Amarillo Police

Two Amarillo police officers were indicted by a grand jury. James Lemuel King, chief of detectives, oversees 14 in the detective bureau, including Clarence Earl Hodges, head of the auto theft division. Three Die in Houston Home for Aged Fire

A stove explosion started a blaze at a two story home for the aged in Houston. Three residents were trapped and perished. At least four others were injured and hospitalized. Firefighters recovered the bodies as eight or nine residents were saved or guided to safety.

City commission to decide duty status of King and Hodges

Find Bodies Of Navy Men
