Unclaimed Money Found On Canyon Expressway Median
James Pender and his brother Charles chased down money and checks blown from a checkbook on the median of the Canyon Expressway southbound. They recovered 592 dollars in mixed bills and a $100 bill plus numerous signed checks, turned over to Randall County deputy Jack Inman. Officers have not located the owner, Cynthia Bell of Stratford, or determined how the funds arrived on the median.

Widow May Be Charged In Death Of Amarillo Executive
The widow of Thad M. Sandstrom 51 former Amarillo broadcast executive may face a first degree murder charge in his Topeka Kansas home killing. Sandstrom vice president of Stauffer Publications was found shot in bed with a revolver nearby. his wife Milda 53 overdosed on pills and is under hospital custody awaiting charges.
