Three Die in Plane Crash Over Grenada Flight
Memphis journalist Ted Northington and Commercial Appeal photographer George Stokes were killed along with John Crump son of political leader E H Crump when a four passenger plane on a Cotton Carnival tour crashed and burned near Grenada Mississippi. Kennamer Parole Extension Granted by Oklahoma Governor
Gov. Leon C. Phillips granted Phil Kennamer a one month extension of his temporary parole to allow a thorough study of the case. Kennamer, convicted of killing John Gorrell Jr. in Tulsa on Thanksgiving Eve 1934, has been on six months parole and works as a warehouseman in Phoenix Arizona. He has served about two years nine months of a 25 year manslaughter sentence.
