Play School Opens Tuesday in Amarillo Panhandle area
More than 60 representatives from five Panhandle counties meet in Amarillo Tuesday to discuss rural recreation. The U S Department of Agriculture creates a Bureau of Recreation to aid farming communities with play and diversion as well as work. Judge Stuart Knapp will speak. Harry N. Harper 40 of 412 North Fillmore Street died at St. Anthony's Hospital from injuries after a Saturday crash that involved a one ton truck in which he and nine others were riding.
