A windstorm hit Coushatta and north Red River Parish killing all persons and causing heavy property damage. Telephone lines were down and rescue parties moved toward the section. Ringgold communications were out, and Jonesboro in Jackson Parish reported one man injured and several houses damaged when the storm struck about 5 PM. The injured man, L. Bryant, was in his barn two miles west of Jonesboro when the storm demolished it.
