The forecast for Amarillo and surrounding areas calls for fair skies and warmer temperatures on Wednesday. West Texas and New Mexico expect fair conditions with some unsettled northern portions, while a departing storm system brings rain along the Gulf coast and snow across eastern New Mexico and parts of Texas. Highest temperatures and wind data from Tuesday show a high near 27 and a low around 15.
New York March 30 The stock market fell under renewed selling as 258 issues hit new low levels for the year and 70 others dropped to prior minimums. Volume reached 3,017,700 shares with industrial averages down about 23 points and railroad averages down 12. Banking support briefly steadied high grade issues like U.S. Steel General Motors and General Electric, triggering a cover rally across many issues.

SAN ANTONIO March 30. Four armed men robbed the San Antonio National Bank at about 12 50 pm taking currency amounting to 19138. Initial estimates put loot near 50000 but later checks set it under 20000. The loss was covered by insurance. The four men, about 25, used sawed off shotguns and .45 caliber revolvers to threaten ten employees and seize cash from two cases while customers watched.
Hartford state’s attorney released documents asserting that Charles William Gregory, the so called missing alibi witness for Gerald Chapman, is an ex convict and former member of Chapman’s gang, challenging his credibility in the murder case.

Senator King of Utah called for another inquiry into immigration officials on the Mexican border. The move follows a prior inquiry into the deportation of Santel Torres, a revolutionist killed by Mexican authorities after being forced across the border by American officials.
Washington March 20 The House debated the English impeachment case for five hours and adjourned without acting on the resolution calling for the removal of the Illinois judge from the bench.
Fresno dispatch reports a warrant was issued in Madera California for Jack Dempsey world's heavyweight champion on a reckless driving charge. The order commands arrest and personal appearance in court.
Six men were killed and one escaped with slight injuries after a Northwestern road train struck an automobile three miles south of the Racine depot. The incident occurred late today as the car attempted to cross the tracks. An eyewitness said six men were unable to escape and were killed at the scene. The sole survivor was treated for minor injuries and released. Local authorities opened an investigation into the crossing safety and train visibility.
A March blizzard dumped 12 inches of snow on Amarillo and the Panhandle, with 15 to 27 degree highs and major snow drifts. By yesterday evening the sun melted much of the ice, traffic slowed on West Sixth Street, and schools reported extremely light attendance. Weather improves today with highs above 32 and further warming expected through the week.

A sweeping blue norther from the Texas Panhandle struck southwest Texas and southwest Louisiana, demolishing hundreds of oil derricks, wrecking homes, severing utilities and injuring dozens. Reports list killed Jack Kelly and A Brown, injured Boots Roberts and the Bishops, with property losses around 2500000. Sealy first noted damage, then Crosby and Orange reported further destruction including nine derricks in Orange.
