The Justice Department filed an antitrust suit in Des Moines charging the National Farmers Organization with coercion to monopolize interstate milk sales in 19 states. The suit seeks to bar NFO and members from the action while not challenging the holdbacks by NFO members.

A U S Army rocket firing helicopter accidentally hit Sa Huynh village 35 miles southeast of Quang Ngai. Three Vietnamese civilians were killed and 20 wounded as rockets struck a fuel point and huts. Fifty-nine huts burned or destroyed in firebreak actions and collateral damage. The incident occurred Wednesday during a firing mission near the village.
Casper Wyoming AP reports a downdraft caused a United Air Lines flight to drop from 37,000 feet. George Graves aged 52 released his seat belt to reach his granddaughter and hit his head on the ceiling. he died. Other family members were hospitalized after the turbulence incident over central Wyoming.
