Easter interpretive program at St Pauls Methodist Church

The program presented by Mrs. Mary Miller Beard and her expression pupils at St Pauls Methodist Church features poems, songs, dramatizations, and readings. Invocations by Rev. Ed Wallace, with student performers from Heselberg and local schools presenting titled pieces such as Roses in a Subway and The Flower Factory, plus group poems and school dramatizations.

Style Show At High School By Home Economics Department

The High School hosts a Saturday evening march 8 style show in the high school building with music by the High School Orchestra. Models from Regent, Moore-Poston, Richards, Montgomery Brothers and Jarett's Fashion Shop appear in clothing contest dresses and ideal dresses for the High School girl, with solo and trombone numbers and domestic art displays. Announcers include Sarah Margaret, Jane Austin, Nell, Zallee Williams, Marjorie and Charles Fisk, and Dorothy Anne Dooley.

Festival Draws Glee Clubs From Across Panhandle

Many out of town visitors will come to the Music Festival week after next. High school glee clubs from Clovis Lubbock Miami Hereford and other towns will compete each morning at 9 in the new auditorium. The violin contest Monday piano contests April 10 and 11 voice contest Thursday and ensemble awards Friday and Saturday.

J U G Club Meets At Burgess Home

Miss Mildred Burgess hosted the J U G Club at 1410 Tyler Street on Thursday afternoon with a program on dialect and character led by Mrs. Sam Vaughn. Miss Gladys Seeward reviewed Old Stracted and Margaret Deland's Many Waters discussed by Mrs. Bernard Teel. A salad course followed.

Easter Party For Cradle Roll Children

The Cradle Roll children of the First Baptist Sunday School will be entertained at an Easter party Saturday afternoon at 3 o clock in the Cradle Roll rooms of the church. A lovely program has been arranged and all mothers are invited to come and bring their children.
