Pilot misses NATO mission in doomed Yugoslav flight

ALAMOGORDO NM Air Force Captain Ken Dwelle recalls recognizing the downed F 117 Nighthawk from Yugoslavia. He contacted his mother and grandmother after seeing the tail name, noting the plane he taught with at Holloman Air Force Base. Dwelle, a nine year veteran, had flown the jet many times as an instructor and expressed relief at missing that mission. The pilot in the wreck was rescued by a combat extraction team.
