The Globe corrects a previous report on Martha Jackson who died from injuries after being hit by a taxicab. Police say Julian Blaine, driving a Triple-A taxi, stopped and aided the victim. he was not employed by Hammond Cab Company.

Railroad Commissioner Ernest O Thompson urged Texas to rescind its six day production order and continue five day output through April and May. He warned pipeline capacity cannot move the extra oil and lifting the shutdowns could ruin pricing, urging restraint amid market instability.
Survey findings show millions of grasshoppers in 25 Panhandle counties threatening wheat and feed crops. Hoppers could devastate the Plains if a coordinated control program is not implemented, with hatching beginning in April and Congress trimming insect control funds. Grover M. Yowell a 56 year old former vice president of the Security National Bank of Paducah pleaded guilty to seven counts of a 13 count indictment for violations of the national banking act and was sentenced to five years in Leavenworth penitentiary by Federal Judge William H. Atwell.
