In north central Mexico insurgents mass near Jiminez as federal air raids strike. Four federals planes bomb Jiminez killing four insurgents and wounding 17 while General Escobar rushes to assume command there. A U.S. pilot held by rebels is released after pledging nonparticipation.
The Prince of Wales arrived safely at Croydon by plane from Le Bourget at six o'clock this evening after attending Marshal Foch's funeral as representative of King George. Thick fog over the English Channel required the aircraft to be guided by wireless.
Forecasts for Amarillo and vicinity call for fair, warmer conditions through Wednesday with higher temperatures. West Texas should stay fair and warmer in the north, while New Mexico expects fair skies and little temperature change. A ridge of high pressure extends from the Mississippi valley to the Pacific coast, with warmer readings in the northern Rockies and slight changes in central Rockies. Yesterday's temperatures in Amarillo ranged from mid 30s to mid 40s with a 0.01 inch 24 hour precipitation ending 4 p.m.
Guilty with a penalty of two years in the penitentiary was the verdict of the jury in the second trial of Ed Stalzer formerly of Marshall town Iowa charged with possession and transportation of fifteen gallons of alcohol. The jury reached the verdict about 2 45 oclock yesterday after noon after being out since noon. Stalzer had allegedly brought twenty gallons of grain alcohol to Amarillo from Peking Illinois and buried it in a pasture near Neusche. Officers found only fifteen gallons. Three youths who were with Stalzer were the state s chief witnesses. The youths were later held as witnesses after one tried to sell a pint of liquor to a man under arrest. Stalzer did not testify. The defense hinged on accomplice law. One witness was defined as an accomplice. Stalzer has a wife and a baby girl about 18 months old. A drizzle turned to rain in Amarillo last night despite forecasts of fair weather. Rain fell across the Panhandle, with showers reported at Lockney Floydada and Memphis. Amarillo forecast today was fair and warmer. Floydada and Lockney reported showers.
Nineteen charges including murder plot and malfeasance filed against Governor Huey P Long in an impeachment resolution read in the Louisiana House. An affidavit from Harry A Bozeman alleges Long attempted to hire him to murder a representative who opposed the governor's program.
Okey Bevins, aiming to beat the transcontinental record, spent last night in Amarillo after engine trouble forced a halt near Willard, New Mexico. He landed at English-Bevins field at 2:45 pm and worked on repairs, insisting he could have beaten Captain Hawks’ time by 40 minutes if not for the setback. He plans to proceed to New York tomorrow with a Cincinnati stop, awaiting backers' decision on another attempt.

Perry Oklahoma March 26 Mrs War Norman wife of a Comar Oil employee awaited arraignment on a murder charge after shooting 21 year old Mildred Barrett on a highway near the oil lease The shooting appeared to stem from a quarrel over Mrs Norman's husband Officials said Mrs Norman made no statement to amount to anything and acknowledged the confrontation before firing two more shots as Barrett fled and collapsed dying minutes later
Herman Lanfield dies in Chicago after injuries at Coliseum panic during Jackie Field versus Young Jack Thompson bout. He suffered a fractured skull and internal injuries from a fall or push from the balcony, occurring March 25.

Charles Hamilton aged 66, a pioneer in the Panhandle cattle industry, died from injuries after a fall last Saturday. Born in Travia county in 1862, he helped bring the first cattle herd into the Panhandle, worked with RB Masterson, and later served as a stockyard inspector in Kansas City. He retired about 19 years ago to Amarillo, where he engaged in investment and loan brokerage. Funeral at 2 p.m. today from 1600 Van Buren Street with pallbearers Sam Motlow, H. Exum, Roy Williams, Grover Hill, Tom Durham, Ford Brandenburg. interment Llano Cemetery under N. B. Griggs & Sons.
In Aurora Illinois the coroner’s inquest into the killing of a mother and beating of her husband by deputy sheriffs during a liquor raid was postponed due to the principal witness Roy Smith being hospitalized with a broken leg after a shot fired by the 12 year old son Gerald in defense of the family. The case centered on Lullian de King shot as she stooped over her husband Joseph. State’s Attorney George D. Carbary, who has a record of fines for prohibition violations, anticipated a verdict of killed while resisting an officer.
