An inventor envisions a man-made machine that operates without human steering or direct guidance, aiming to advance autonomous propulsion. The concept explores reducing reliance on human input to propel a device or vehicle.
A radio driven train test will be conducted at Boise City Oklahoma involving M. E. Gregory using Santa Fe Railroad rolling stock to propel a coach by electrical energy sent via radio. A motor car on a branch line will receive current from a broadcasting station. No date is set.
In Corning New York March 25 twenty tons of molten borosilicate glass were poured into a brick mold to form a 200 inch telescope mirror. The process took ten hours from furnace to mold as 7 500 spectators watched the liquid glass flow under floodlights and a balcony crowd of reporters.
President Roosevelt announced a settlement granting absolute freedom of collective bargaining in the auto industry. The accord ends a 250000 worker strike threat and lets employees choose their bargaining representatives with no discrimination for union affiliations. Labor leader William Green praised the plain language of the National Recovery Act provisions.
Snow blanketed the Panhandle Plains delivering moisture to wheat and pastureland. Ample snowfall from Woodward Oklahoma to Clovis New Mexico raised hopes for a revived growing season. Amarillo recorded the heaviest fall with five inches on the ground, Hereford reported a foot.

In Tenaha near Timpson Texas a two story frame hotel burned early today. Emmett Roberts 35 was found dead in the ashes after the structure collapsed. Roberts was a well known Tenaha resident and left a widow and several children.
In Nome Alaska on March 25 89 Russians marooned 150 miles off Cape Onman face ice floe breakup as Soviet fliers prepare two Pacific Alaska Airways planes for a rescue over the Arctic Ocean. Fliers Levanevsky Sletneff Yushakoff expected to fly with American Clyde Armistead as co pilot. The Soviet government and US migration officials arrange landing on American soil if rescue succeeds.

Mrs Burt Daniels was freed from Potter County jail on $3000 bond after indictment for driving while intoxicated in the auto tragedy that killed Shirley Pai mateer. Sheriff rejected local signers as security. a new bond with Fidelity and Deposit Co was posted. Daniels rearrested after grand jury indictment. Attorney Joe V Moore indicted for murder without malice and DUI remains bail-less with total bond set at 9000.
C. C. Julian once a millionaire oil operator in Oklahoma and California died in Shanghai after taking poison in a hotel room. Friends plan his burial as police weigh whether it was self inflicted or accidental amid debts and poverty. Leonard Levy, his dinner companion and confidante, survived and claimed Julian had warned of his deed.
Raymond Brooks reports from Tyler on East Texas mood as James V. Alfred and Tom F. Hunter lead the governor race in the first primary with Maury Hughes gaining in Dallas support. Ferguson’s C. McDonald expected to do poorly in oil country amid strong Hunter backing.
