Boys Die In Oil Field Nitroglycerin Blast Near Tulsa

Three boy hunters near Turkey Mountain southwest of Tulsa were killed when nitroglycerin they found on an oil lease exploded. Luther McClough 16 Antonis Butler McClough 13 and Harold Edward Komma 18 were last seen alive on a road through the base before the blast. The accident occurred during road repairs and was discovered after their disappearance prompted a search by their families.

Marshall Guilty of Desertion in Child Case

J. G. Marshall was found guilty by a district court jury of child desertion. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail as four of his children, recently declared dependent, were separated to different households. Pete McKenzie Jury Discharged After Sanity Deliberations

In San Antonio on March 25 the jury for John M. Pete McKenzie reported they could not agree after a second sanity hearing. The 10 to 2 ballot favored a sane verdict from early on, and McKenzie will be sent to a state hospital. Judge McCrory said no further sanity hearings unless ordered by a higher court.
