The Queen Elizabeth, Britain's greatest battleship, launched at Newport News, carries 15 guns and battered the Dardanelles forts. Allied ships waited for her longer range to strike, as the vessel opened fire after the five forts fell, proving her reach beyond 12 miles.
The US submarine F-4 submerged at 9 15 am off Honolulu harbor and did not reappear by nightfall. With a crew of 25 commanded by Lieut Alfred L Ede, divers and a naval tug searched miles of sea near the harbor as fears grew. The craft was later found at 120 fathoms depth, grappling attempts failed, and signal bells suggested possible tank rupture and fumes.
Dispatches report Zapata soldiers tore down the American flag over John McManus home in Mexico City after his murder and looting. Reparation was asked of Zapata authorities with no reply yet. Carranza denied the consular reports of flag violations at Manzanillo and other sites.

Col Willig T May recently relinquished command of the 24th Infantry in the Philippine Islands and is transferred today to the retired list at his request. He has nearly ten years of active service and earlier served as lieutenant colonel of the 147th Indiana Volunteers in the Spanish American War.
In Indianapolis on March 25 Mayor Roberts Terre Haute Sheriff Shea and City Judge Smith were arrested on Judge Anderson’s orders for attempting to corrupt witnesses. The probe focused on Joe Jeffers a reputed gunman and Taylorville precinct boys. Jeffers pleaded guilty and Charles Yakle election board member admitted bringing a list of names for registration and voting machine entries.
