Goo O. R. Stark Jr. and two others trailed a wild buffalo herd through JA Ranch north of Quitaque and photographed 29 animals with some scattered in breaks. Rangers warn buffalo are protected by Texas Parks and Wildlife and can roam freely despite fences. The piece also toys with legends of a wild Palo Duro white stallion and the Loch Ness monster.
