Premonition of Death: Marine Dies in Bangalore Torpedo Blast

John P. Gilliam, a Viet Nam era Marine stationed in Chu Lai, wrote a friend in mid February saying he felt he would be hit before May. His hunch proved fatal when he died in a Bangalore torpedo charge 11 days after the letter. He was buried with full military honors at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego.

Woman Kept Alive by Shocks After Heart Attack

A 51 year old woman at Dallas Osteopathic Hospital is kept alive by electrical heart shocks after a heart attack. Dr. C. D. Brashier says she was effectively dead when admitted and has received 147 shocks, while remaining conscious and in good spirits between sessions. The attack and collapse occurred Sunday at a physician's office and she was rushed to the hospital by ambulance.
