LeFors Constable Kidnapped Then Released In Drive
LeFors constable Bob Walls was kidnapped by three men who forced him into a car and drove him around until about 9 pm before dumping him in front of the LeFors school. He was uninjured. A posse led by Sheriff Lon Blan scet searched for him, with threats against the sheriff’s department from a Gray county liquor ring. Walls refuses to discuss his experiences since returning home.

Magnolia Oil Company's No. 4 Latham well three miles west of Pampa came under control after a brief period while connections were changed. The well blew in yesterday at 2922 feet, 70 feet deeper than expected, spraying oil and gas that halted trains and diverted traffic. It is estimated to yield 15,000 barrels per day of 41 gravity oil.
