Oklahoma Governor Henry S Johnston Acquitted on Nine Charges
Oklahoma City March 20 The senate court of impeachment removed Henry S Johnston as governor after finding him guilty of general incompetency and acquitting him of nine other charges. The vote 35 for conviction nine for acquittal followed two years of political turmoil. Lieutenant Governor Holloway sworn in as successor. Mrs Johnston closely attended the trial as Johnston blamed disappointed spoilsmen for the attack.
