A group of 11 purebred breeders extension specialists and agriculturists in Amarillo advanced groundwork for a national Beef Production Association. The body would coordinate testing production and marketing of high quality beef cattle based on PanTech Farms research. Colby Conkwright temporarily leads as American Beef Cattle Performance Record Association. Further extension service cooperation and a Texas conference are planned to implement performance testing.

About one thousand farmers from eight counties north of the Canadian River plan to attend an Austin hearing on irrigation gas for legislation. A mass meeting of 350 men is set Friday in the Moore County courthouse to arrange travel and support, with W J Morton Jr leading the Natural Gas for Irrigation Committee of the Dumas Chamber of Commerce.
