City Soldier Missing Aboard Plane Over Pacific
Amarillo soldier Spec. 5 Edward C. Cox is among 93 U S Army men aboard a Flying Tigers Line plane that went down in the Pacific Ocean. His family in Amarillo was notified by military authorities. Cox, a radio technician who enlisted after graduating Pampa High School in 1956, served two years in Germany. He is survived by his wife Maria and two children plus his parents and several siblings.
