Shamrock March 15 Special Lee Eugene Nichols 40 of Littlefield was killed when his car struck a truck on a railway overpass eight miles east of Shamrock. He suffered a fractured skull internal injuries and both legs broken. J B Chadwell Mangum Okla driver of the truck unhurt. Nichols drove a new Buick from Oklahoma City to Littlefield for E B Hewett. Hewett accompanied him in another car. Nichols body cared for by Shamrock funeral home pending relatives from Littlefield. Survivors include a widow and two children.
