Negro lynching slays alleged slayer in Mississippi yard
In Mississippis Choctaw County near Slayden a mob of about 50 hanged Ab Young a Black tenant farmer accused of killing Hardy Mackie a 45 year old highway worker. After seizure at Rossville Tennessee Young was strung from a tree in a school yard three miles east of Slayden. The crowd sang and prayed as the rope tightened and a car pulled away leaving the body. The lynching occurred about 410 PM and the mob warned sundown before leaving.
