E O Bennett Marland Oil chief production engineer told West Texas Oil and Gas association that gas lift has boosted wells from near 100 percent water to nearly 100 percent oil in some cases. He urged conservation of gas energy and proposed concerted shutdowns to rebuild pressure, citing California’s Coalinga field as a precedent. He spoke to over 150 operators and answered questions for more than an hour.

Oil Worker Killed by Falling Derrick in Texas
