In Urbana Ohio a Trans World Airlines DC9 and a Beechcraft twin engine plane collided near Dayton killing 26 people. The DC9 was nine minutes from landing when it burst into flames and disappeared from radar. The other plane carrying a businessman pilot crashed two miles away. FAA said controllers warned of unknown traffic before the crash.
