Broker Col Frank Keech Dies Under Subway Train
New York March 9 A Wall Street broker identified as Col Frank Keech was killed when he was struck by a northbound subway train at Lexington Avenue and List Street. Keech, under indictment in Newburgh for arson and defrauding insurers over a 1932 fire at his Tuxedo Park home, had bail set at 50000. Motorman Sydney Baldwin said Keech appeared to jump or fall before the train entered the 51st Street station. Police matched the body to Keech via checks and a monogrammed watch. He had been staying at a Fifth Avenue hotel since returning from Florida to face the arson charge. he pleaded innocent at Newburgh on February 28.

Brother-in-Law of Amarillo Woman Dies in Crash
A. R. Tolbert, 40, of League Four near Ralls, was killed when his car overturned three miles south of Lubbock. Tolbert was blinded by oncoming lights and left the road on soft shoulders after rain. Mrs Tolbert and two young sons were uninjured. Dr. W C Snow helped at the scene. A sister of Mrs Tolbert, Mrs H A Wallace, lives in Amarillo.

Wayne Scott age 24 was sentenced to life in prison in Carlsbad New Mexico after pleading guilty to auto theft. He had been held as a suspect in the disappearance of four Illinois tourists and had prior major-crimes terms in Texas. District Judge James B. McGhee presided.
