Truck Freight Crash Kills Two In Roaring Springs
A loaded grain truck collided with a Quanah Acme and Pacific freight train near Roaring Springs killing Walter Lee Robinson age 33 and Gene Van Camp about 25. Van Camp died after over half an hour trapped in the truck cab. Robinson died at the scene. The locomotive was not derailed but the crash toppled eight cars and scattered wheat and wreckage along the right of way.

A fast moving storm hit the Midwest with up to 16 inches of snow paralyzing the region then moved east bringing more snow to the North and tornadoes to the South.
