Mark L. Requa of Santa Barbara longtime Republican figure and close Hoover ally died at St Vincent's Hospital after more than two weeks illness. Post mortem conducted by Dr W C Hunt. cause of death not announced. Requa led 1928 California and 1932 Western presidential campaigns and headed the fuel administration during World War days. He was a prominent behind the scenes adviser at the 1936 Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
