Leaders of Sooner Pen Break Taken in Battle
FAIRVIEW Oklahoma March 5 three leaders of the Granite re formatory break of 32 convicts were captured west of here. Red haired Malloy Kuykendall was shot by posse men as he emerged from a dugout his pistol firing. All three were armed and a stolen pistol and shotgun were found among their weapons. Posse men from three counties aided by guards and state operatives fired between 60 and 100 shots. Kuykendall and 18 year old W L Baker Jr both captured. Dale Stansill 22 fled then surrendered.
