Mrs. O. E. Oliver of 109 North Bowyer woke to a bald spot on the left side of her head. The thief entered through an unlocked front door between 2 and 3 pm yesterday, leaving a 25 cent piece sized patch as witnesses say a raver blade cut. Police were alerted last night as the city notes a brazen hair clipping incident similar to Washington’s Jack-the-Snipper.

Jury Completes For Boyd Murder Trial
A jury for the murder trial of Laurence Henry Boyd was completed at 7 05 last night after testimony on veniremen. Four defense lawyers and two state prosecutors questioned jurors about death penalty laws self defense and the unwritten law in split cases. Boyd, a Hollywood Poultry Co employee, is accused of killing Fireman C M Weatherby after Weatherby was shot at Central Station and died from a severed artery after surrendering his pistol. The trial was postponed from January 13 and Boyd has been free on bond since October 29.
