Mrs John Kincheloe testified in 47th District Court about long running strife between her husband and his son Clark Kincheloe of Dalhart Texas. She recounted threats and a Christmas Eve dispute ending with Clark pulling a knife during a car confrontation. The defense sought to show a history of trouble shaping the fatal Christmas Day shooting on the farm in Dallam County.

Lester Stone Taken by Death

Amarillo grain man Lester Stone longtime figure in Clovis and Amarillo politics died last night at age 56 after a two week illness. He built a grain business from Clovis in 1915, moved to Amarillo in 1920, and later ran several Panhandle county elevators. Survived by wife Cecil, two daughters, a son, two brothers, two sisters, and steps to funeral plans pending at N. B. Griggs & Sons.

Allred Firm Denies Deal For U.S. Judge Nomination

Strict control of slaughtering and sale of meat ordered

Washington March 5 strict controls over slaughter of livestock and sale of meat to stamp out black market operations will go into effect April 1.
