Authorities reveal the improvised pistol used by John Dillinger to escape Lake County jail. The device reportedly combined two razor blades shaped into a barrel with a broomstick and safety razor handle, sealed with black shoe polish to appear real.

Washington March 4 The Roosevelt administration marked one year since the New Deal with an anniversary dinner. President Roosevelt 12 cabinet members the Vice President the Speaker of the House and about six others attended.
Law renceville Indiana men Lloyd Nicolay Clayton Hobbs and Charles Conover were killed when their plane crashed into Lake Lawrence near Law renceville eight miles east of town after taking off from O'Neill airport Vincennes. Nicolay the pilot. Sheriff John Hipsher said the crash occurred about 3 o clock.
Today events begin at 8 AM with registration at City Drug Store and the Amarillo Hotel. Registrants may join the Mother-in-Law Club and receive a bouquet.
