New York on March 3 saw a rapid market surge with stocks rising about $1 to nearly $5 a share. Fort Worth report says a motorist siphoned gasoline from a parked car by inserting a rubber hose into the gas line, transferring fuel into a can, then locking the can in the rumble seat and leaving. The incident surprised onlookers and raised local concerns about theft.
