Beavers Thompson murder trial rests in Memphis
In Memphis on March 8 the state and defense rested in the Rufus Beavers case, charged with killing Leonard Thompson on March 11, 1930. Beavers claims self defense after Thompson reached for an axe. Thompson died a week later. The jury will hear judge A J Fires charge tomorrow as evidence opened earlier this week.
