Police report three suspects, two men and a woman, tied to burglaries in Panhandle Tuesday night. Items were recovered in Amarillo and on the Panhandle highway. one man arrested, others deny guilt.

An imaginary carload of smiles sent to President Coolidge by a night force of railway clerks at Stockton California arrived today at the White House. A waybill carried across the continent by freight conductors was left at the executive offices by Frank Wahl secretary and treasurer of a railway clerks lodge. The idea began January 27 with 100000 pounds of smiles and spread as hundreds of railroad workers signed on with messages including a Chicago crew query about light wines and beer for the thirsty.
Two members of an Amarillo family died from influenza after a ten day illness. John R. Parr, 24, and his mother Mollie E. Parr, 55, died within 24 hours of each other. The widow, 21, remains unaware of the deaths as she battles pneumonia. The two month old daughter is cared for by friends. Rev. G H Bryant will conduct the funeral with burial at Llano cemetery. Survivors include Lon Parr and Mrs Martha Archer of Amarillo.
New York report says Countess Cathcart did not appear by the ten day limit for temporary stay at Billia Island. She remained registered at the Am buscador hotel at 11 30 pm and had not checked out. Detained at Ellis Island for adultery, she was released on a personal bond of 500.
