Viola Wilson, piano and voice teacher, and M M Johnson of the International Correspondence Schools announce that R Johnson received a $50 prize for securing the largest number of scholars in the three months. Johnson claimed he was unaware of the race and credited Panhandle Plains education as the reason for his win.
A Panhandle Board of City Development meeting highlighted a three member committee to study an auditorium for Amarillo, and progress reports on the Panhandle Dairy Association. Speakers praised dairy expansion along rail lines, planning 2000 Holstein cows, and future industry growth in Amarillo and the Plains.
