Stock Farm Fire Kills Horses Mules at Shuler Farm

Fire swept the Shuler stock farm near Pulaski Tennessee in the early hours burning to death eight or ten thoroughbred horses about 20 mules and several head of sheep. C C Brown father in law of owner Eric R Shuler said the fire began soon after midnight and was out of control when discovered by farm hands. The heat prevented rescuers from reaching the stalls.

Police seek lost papers of Dwight Morrow Jr in Boston

State police investigated missing personal papers reported by Dwight Morrow Jr son of the late New Jersey senator. The Harvard graduate student said papers on his bureau disappeared during a weekend absence and one item contained his mother's European itinerary.
