Law officers raid eight-liners across two Texas counties
A task force raided 11 eight-liner gaming establishments in Potter and Randall counties Tuesday night, seizing gaming devices, cash, records and other evidence. Potter County Attorney Sonya Letson reported arrests were made though exact numbers were unavailable. the raid followed a two month undercover Narcotics Trafficking Task Force operation. Three sites were in Randall County. Randall County DA James Farren could not comment. Eight-liners are electronic devices akin to casino machines. Texas law restricts gaming to narrowly allowed forms, with the recent Fuzzy Animal Act permitting certain games under bingo, raffles, and the state lottery.
