Train Robber Is Given Film Job
Roy Gardner, famed Pacific Coast train robber and four time escapee, was released from Leavenworth after 17 years of a 25 year sentence. He will work as a film salesman for Louis B. Sonney, a San Francisco film exchange proprietor who clashed with Gardner in 1921. Gardner’s escapes began near Portland in 1920 during transfer to McNeil Island.
