Lake Mead Sediment Survey Set
A hydrological survey to measure sediment in Lake Mead above Hoover Dam begins, the Interior Department said. The Coast and Geodetic Survey will conduct the study as Glen Canyon dam gates close March 13, with Lake Powell behind Glen Canyon Dam stabilizing Mead by trapping Colorado River sediment.
