Two Men Hurt In Canyon Highway Head On Collision
Reid Nicholson 22 of Post and Don Nicholson 20 of Ralls were seriously injured in a head on crash three miles south of the city on Canyon highway. Ross Larsen principal of Elizabeth Nixon Junior High School suffered minor injuries. Both cars were badly damaged and Larsen was treated and dismissed.

Motorcyclist Dies In Levelland Crash
One man killed and another injured in a Levelland motor vehicle crash. Henry F. Winder, 23, died after being thrown against a car when the motorcycle skidded to avoid an oncoming vehicle. A. Callahan, 18, the driver, survived with minor injuries. The incident occurred about 12:45 PM on the Levelland-Hockley road near the outskirts of Levelland. Both men worked for a drilling contractor. Winder had recently moved from Appleby to Levelland. Funeral arrangements were pending. survivors include his mother Mollie Winder of Appleby and uncle Lee Winder of Morton.
