A Tunisian Caravelle airliner issued a small cockpit fire near Rome Leonardo da Vinci airport after a flight from Tunis. The pilot landed safely on a runway surrounded by ambulances and fire engines. All 54 passengers and seven crew members escaped injury. Airport sources cited a radar system short circuit as the fire cause.
AP reports midcontinent crude prices rise this week after new purchaser bonuses. Sun OilCo expands prices across Oklahoma Louisiana and Texas for 335000 barrels daily with multiple regional increases. Other companies including Continental Oil CRA Koch and Am Petro raise top postings and offer per barrel bonuses.

Mountain Fuel Supply reports Anadarko Fox No 1 a wildcat well in Con verse County 45 miles northeast of Casper is flowing 50 barrels per hour of 47 degree gravity oil and 5 million cubic feet per day of gas since last weekend. The well near Powder River Basin caused high pressure and required cementing and a relief well to control flow. Ownership is split 50 50 between Mountain Fuel and Anadarko Production with Mountain Fuel holding large acreages nearby.
